Known issues

On Android 16, the adb root command executes successfully, but the device returns a timeout error while waiting for the response.

  All previous known issues with arm64 beta images have been fixed.

Fixes:

• Keystore boot error: Resolved a booting error that occurred when the keystore.ks file was corrupted.
• Certificate generation: Fixed an error encountered during the certificate generation process.
• Wi-Fi proxy settings: Fixed an issue affecting persistent Wi-Fi proxy configurations.
• Device name display: Fixed a bug where the device name would sometimes display as “unknown” in settings.

• Alternative webviews: You can now install alternative WebView packages on virtual devices.
• Image injection: Injected images now maintain their aspect ratio and original orientation.
• IMEI configuration: The IMEI is now properly set according to the widget configuration or the persist.gsm.imei property.

• Device name matching: The running device name now correctly matches the Android image name.
• Home button: The home button on virtual devices works as expected.
• Camera errors: Resolved camera errors encountered in Instagram and other third-party apps.

• Android 11.0 arm64, 12.0 and higher: VPN applications no longer break the virtual devices upon activation.
• Android 9.0, 10.0, 11.0: The camera emulation stack has been improved for better performance and stability.
• Android 10.0 and higher: Add 5G to mobile network profiles.
• Android 11.0 and higher: When wifi is activated, the mobile network interface state is now properly propagated to the player.

• Hardware profiles and Images: The Recipes interface has been completely redesigned with two new sections, Hardware Profiles and Images, to provide a modern solution to create custom Android virtual devices in the Cloud.
  • Devices can now be created by combining Hardware profiles and Images to create instances and recipes with any supported hardware specifications and Android versions.
  • Hardware profiles can be customized to create devices with some custom specifications (Form Factor, Display).
• New Save UX: When an instance is saved, it both creates a custom recipe and a reusable image.

Fixes:

• Keyboard composition has been fixed ; you can now type symbols the way you are used to. For example, on most European keyboard layouts, press “Alt Gr” + “E” to get the Euro symbol.
• Improvements have been done to the overriding of build properties: it is now possible to override ro.vendor.build.fingerprint on Android 9.0 and we fixed a bug in device ID/IMEI overriding for Android 6.0 and later.
• Internet connectivity issues on Android 8.0 have been fixed.
• Searching for applications in Google Play works again.
