Graphical Interface

This chapter presents the way Genydeploy is structured, introduces its various areas and their purpose.

Home screen

In Administrator mode, the home screen of Genydeploy displays in the following way:

Configuration management

In Administrator mode, you can create, open and save a configuration. The Create button opens the configuration properties:

Settings

The Settings window displays the connection status and allows you to define a deployment network, a proxy or a custom license server:

Login

The Log in window allows an administrator or a user to authenticate. Genydeploy application credentials are identical to the web portal. Thus, data related to license keys and accounts are synchronized between the web portal and the application.

Features

The various features of Genydeploy can be accessed using the Add button. Those features consist of parameters and services grouped by category, that you can select and customize to create your own configuration:

You can scroll down the panel to view all features or use the search bar in order to more quickly find the parameter or service you wish to add to your configuration. For more information, please refer to Configuration - Creating a configuration.

Deployment

The deployment screen allows you to deploy a configuration onto a fleet of devices. It can be accessed via the Deploy button of the Administrator mode, as shown below:

It can also be accessed by opening Genydeploy directly in User mode. In this mode, the configuration management area is limited to loading and deploying a configuration onto a fleet of devices. However, information related to the amount of devices configured for the current project are displayed. The progression of the deployment can be displayed in list or grid view:
