Requirements¶
Operating Systems¶
To install Genydeploy, the host computer must run either of the following systems:
MS Windows¶
- Windows 8 or 8.1
- Windows 10
- Windows 11
Linux¶
- Ubuntu 18.04LTS (64 bits)
- Ubuntu 20.04LTS (64 bits)
Devices¶
To allow the communication with Genydeploy, devices need to fulfill the following criteria:
- Devices must run an Android version comprised between 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and 12.
- On a Windows environment, device drivers must be previously installed on the Genydeploy host computer.

The USB debugging option must be enabled on each device and remain enabled until the deployment process is complete. To do so:
- Open System Settings > About.
- Click several times on Build number or Version number until you get a message saying that Developer options are now available.
- Go back to System Settings.
- Open Developer options.
- Check Android debugging or USB debugging.
- If your device is in version 4.2 or above, click Allow USB Debugging.
- If present in your device model, uncheck Verify apps via USB.
Hardware¶
Genydeploy requires that you have the following hardware components on your workstation:
- x86 (Linux) or x64 (Windows/Linux) hardware architecture.
- USB hub 2.0 or 3.0 with its own power supply.
Communication¶
Communication between Genydeploy and the license server is performed via HTTPS and requires port 443 to be left open.
