Genydeploy Web Portal

Genydeploy functions with a web portal that manages all the information regarding the license and the accounts to be configured.

The Genydeploy web portal is accessible at https://deploy.genymobile.com . This section introduces you to the various areas of the web portal and their purposes. It will give you all the information you need to manage license keys and add user accounts to a fleet of devices.

Your Account

Hover your mouse to your account name and click profile image to access your Genydeploy account information.

From this screen, you can click:

Edit my details

Change your personal information, switch the language of the web portal

Edit my password

Change your password.

Click OK to apply.

Home Menu

The Home menu offers a quick access to Genydeploy tutorials, the application latest available version download link and a trial license key to test the application.

Resources

From the Resources menu, you can:

  • Download Genydeploy installers for Windows and Linux.
  • Find links to this documentation.
  • Find details on what has been added, improved or fixed from one version to another in the Changelog section.

Licenses

From the Licenses menu, you can:

  • Generate license keys.
  • List and monitor your license keys.
  • Get detailed information on a license.
  • Monitor your consumption by license and time range in the Consumption by time range tab.

Create a License

A Genydeploy license allocates an amount of devices to be deployed.

To add a license:

  1. Click Create New License:

  2. Give a name to the license you wish to add and click Ok.

Get a License information

Once you have created a license, you can view its details by clicking on it:

This screen will give you the following information:

  • Amount of deployed devices.
  • Rate of successful deployments.
  • Amount of devices deployed successfully: if a device goes several times through the deployment process, it will be counted just once.
  • Average deployment time: deployment duration of a configuration for one device, in minutes and seconds.
  • Amount of credits used for the current month and over the last 6 months.

From this screen, you can also view the list of deployments, in the Deployment list tab:

The search bar allows you to filter deployments by project name and time period, and you can export the list in CSV format by clicking Export.

By clicking the line of a deployment, the deployment status as well as the details of the device having received the configuration and of the computer having hosted the configuration are displayed if available:

Add or remove credits

To add or remove credits to a license:

  1. Click +/- credits next to the license of your choice:

  3. Click OK to apply.

Accounts

Accounts must be defined to be used with Genydeploy Accounts feature. From this menu, you can add or edit a list of accounts.

Creating an account list

To create a new list of accounts and add new user accounts, you must add lines to a CSV file. A template of the CSV file is available for download.

  1. Click Create account list.
  2. Enter a name for the account list and click OK.
  3. Click Add accounts.
  4. Download template template.csv and save a copy of the template at the location of your choice.
  5. Edit the file to define your users' accounts:
    1. In Identifier, enter an IMEI, serial number or SIM number1. Those values are used to identify a device.
    2. Enter all other user's information. All the other columns are free to use, as long as they observe the naming rules family.field.
    3. Save the file.
  6. In CSV file, select the file.
  7. Select a delimiter type.
  8. Click OK.

From this pane, you can also rename, clear, remove the list or export it as a CSV file.

Users

The Users menu offers a list of all the invited users of your group.

You can also invite new users to your group. To do so:

  1. Click Invite new user
  2. Fill the First name, Last name and Email fields with the desired value.
  3. Create a default password for the user in the Default password field. You need to inform the invited user and provide them with the default password you defined.

    The default password is not temporary. For security reasons, you should inform your invited users to change their default password after first connection.

  4. Choose the language for the user (English or French).

  5. Click OK.

You will then be able to manage and apply licenses, accounts, users and credits rights to the user by clicking on the user entry.

The Help menu offers a list of tutorials to quickly get familiar with Genydeploy. You can also have access to the frequently asked questions and the support contact form to request assistance from there.
