The application you are developing or testing may require an interaction with Google Play Services (e.g.: in-app purchasing, advertising, etc.).
Your virtual device must run Android 4.4 and above.
To install the Open GApps package:
At the end of the installation, you are redirected to the Open GApps website.
- Reboot the virtual device.
- (Optional) Open the Play Store and configure your account.
You can install Open GApps directly from their website.
- Visit opengapps.org.
- Select platform x86.
- Select the Android version corresponding to your virtual device.
- Select variant nano (or micro for Android Nougat 7.0).
- Download the selected Open GApps package.
- Drag and drop the installer in the new Genymotion virtual device.
- Follow the installation instructions.
You can install Open GApps in command line using ADB. In this case:
- Copy the archive using
adb push archive.zip /sdcard/Download/archive.zip
- Flash the archive using
adb shell /system/bin/flash-archive.sh /sdcard/Download/archive.zip
- Reboot your instance using
